Default Granatelli programmer question

I found theses new old stock programmers on ebay
My question is for anyone who knows. Can I actually
disable the p codes such as check engine, cats , etc with this tool or does it just reset and clear them ?
For the price I don,t mind that the programming part is old, I just want it for reading codes and disabling the p codes.
I know the new programmers can not disable with having a custom tune sent.
and the new ones are $350 and up.
Thanks
