For those who really know the Nav stuff, do you guys know if OnStar antenna can be used as Navigation antenna. If I understand correctly Onstar is also satellite operated so would make sense that you could use it as Navegation purposes also?

Can be done, you need to modify the cable a little if memory serves.

I have done this and have the OnStar antenna connected to my Eclipse navigation unit. The stock connector doesn't fit most navigation units so you will have to change this. What I did is to cut off the stock connector, carefully strip back the coax cable and solder on the connector from the Eclipse supplied antenna. Make sure you handle the connectors and cable gently as they're quite fragile. The performance of the Onstar antenna (as a navigation antenna)is great!
