I was reading the blog about the post with the overabundance of Hummers sitting at a dealership. One of the responses was this guy saying he flips off Hummer drivers when he sees them.
Today, I got flipped off. I thought at first it was someone I knew and they were being funny. It was some stupid chick in an escort. I almost turned around just to beat the **** out of her. What a freakin' *******.
What the ****'s the matter with people. No one ever flipped me off when I was driving my 10mpg Yukon for the last 6 years. Just because it's a Hummer, they have to be haters...
I can see I'm going to end up getting out and getting into it with someone just because...
Sorry, just ranting...

Mark,
F*ck 'em! Just don't show them that they pissed you off. That will just make them happier. Just give them a nice grin. It makes them even angrier.
Don't get into it with them. I used to be very likely to do something stupid. Actually, I have done some stupid stuff. I've mellowed over the years, going fuddy duddy with age. But having a son really cemented it with me how stupid doing something stupid really is. Just keep an eye out for your self and enjoy the Hummer.
BTW, nice rig with the lift and polish.
Evan

Don't sweat it. With the introduction of the H3, the tide is in our favour. I give it another year before these haters will self destruct. The more Hummers out there, the more enragement.
This pleases me.

Don't get all bent. It happens and will continue to happen.
The best response is to point at them and laugh. Make sure they see it, and when they do they will get more enraged, and than laugh harder. F(_)ck em. Take out your phone cam. and take their picture all pissed off! Laugh again!
If they show an aggressive response where you "fear for you personal safety," than run their asses over! Not a suggestion, but a fun way to deal with the tree huggers.

Thanks guys. At first I was thinking, WTF? But the more I thought about it, the more it pissed me off.
Buy ya'll are right. No point doing something that will get me in jail or end up shooting someone. (stupid situations tend to escalate out of nowhere)
They're just haters, if it's a waste of money, it's MY waste of money... F_ck em!
Mark
PS. Thanks Evan, still new to the H2 thing but fits right in with my personality. Big truck, little dick...lol.

I had a couple negatives this weekend. Friday night I heard a girl yell "ugly" as I drove by her and her friend. They were about 15. The windows were down so I got a quick "Bitch!" out.
And a guy waiting to pull out of a side street gave me a golf-clap as I went by.
You just have to laugh at how pathetic they are!
I haven't had a flip-off yet but I'm ready to swerve if I do.

Scary/funny story about an escalation. Perhaps we need a new topic thread for these stories:
It was the '70s, I was just a little boy. I was riding in the back of our VW rabbit with mom, dad and sis' going down the highway.
I don't know if my dad did anything wrong, but all of a sudden this guy speeds around us and skids to a stop in front of us blocking the road. We stop, traffic behind us stops.
The guy jumps out and storms back to our car. We've got the windows up and doors lock, but we can hear him screaming about us cutting him off. He starts punching the driver side window over and over.
I really don't recall a lot more...I'm sure my mom was screaming at him and/or my dad.
Eventually the guy gives up, goes back to his car and speeds off. I can't imagine his tantrum really made him feel better, and he mashed up his right hand for sure punching the window.
He gave us a good scare, proved how strong auto glass is, and probably had a hurt hand for several days...that was just plain stupid.
I don't think we filed a report and asked anyone to go after the guy. Why I don't know. I was just a kid.

I sooo glad that when I logged on this morning I saw this thread! I also had a slight altercation with a fellow female this weekend!
Saturday night after a wedding and a little to much champagne, my husband and I went to a local bar (Liberty Tap Room). After finding a parking spot right in front (which hardly ever happens) we went in and great time. We go to leave and there is a group of 3 girls and 2 guys, all college, age standing just down from the hummer. I go to get into the passenger side and one of the chicks loudly says "Stuck up B!@#$!". A little confused, I looked at them and all 5 of them were staring my way. WTF!?!?!
Now normally I'm not one for altercations but guess I was a little liquored up and her comment set me off. So being the B!@#$ I can be, I walked casually up to them with my husband on my heels (he didn't know what I was going to do). So I looked at the 2 guys the girls were with and said "do you guys like my hummer?" In unison the both said "yes". I smiled at the 3 girls and turned and walked away. Got back in the hummer...and drove away.
Maybe not the cat fight that everyone was hoping for...but I think I took the high road and I got a good laugh out of the look on their faces.

Here's my thoughts on the tree hugger types:
It's not the Hummer that they really hate, it's just what it symbolizes. They are pissed if you work hard for something they can't have. Jealousy is something many people suffer from, I have seen it first hand with cars, houses, private schools, vacations or anything that requires some level of success or sacrifice.
The jealousy comes with all successes, have a great family, or friends? They are the same people that would try to find a flaw and broadcast it to anyone who would listen.
For most "greenie weenies/tree huggers" a hummer is no more than "the" symbol and an easy target. Most of the conservationists that I've spoken with don't have a clue. It's sad these folks don't use their energy on something truly constructive.

Don't get me wrong, my opinion on the H2 has nothing to do with its fuel economy. Automotive pollution only accounts for a very small amount of what is released into the atmosphere...which is why I don't worry about driving a truck that gets 15-18mpg (not much better than an H2). I just don't like the way it looks. Personal preference.
The people who say they don't like the H2 because "it is bad for the environment" are dumbasses. They are not tree huggers...they are just stupid, and close minded.

People like me...we just have different tastes. Also, remember that ELF, and ELF wanna be's are not tree huggers. Please don't lump me in with them.

The people driving and walking around flipping hummers off aren't doing it because they don't like the looks of it. It goes much deeper than that.
As far as the haters that think that "it is more than anyone needs", why would anyone think they should decide on what someone else needs or wants? This is more liberal, "we'll do the thinking for you" mentality.
I don't know you, therefore I wouldn't "lump" you in with anybody, even if I did know you, I wouldn't. To each their own!

My wife gets the finger more than i do ....... wait let me re-phrase that. My wife gets flipped off more than i do. That really pisses me off. I have been pretty decent about it , like not punching anyone yet. But i can see its going to be a problem one of these days. Its sad people cant respect someone because they have some stereotype image of people , I try hard to make sure i give the same respect to someone driving a 1975 Datsun b-210 or a 2006 Mercedes. I wish these tree huggers would try the same.
