Is that actual alum. plating on the sides, or is it vinyl?
Either way, it looks good!
Kinda looks incomplete on the doors though!

Looks like the black heavy vinyl diamond plate that looks like alum. bling diamond plate. Have some in part of My console cover along with chrome H2 emblem. Good idea if that is what it is. I do not know of anyone who has tried that.
After looking at it some more I agree it needs something more on the doors. Maybe work the plate around not the whole door but sections in some way.

The black areas on the fenders are Aluminum diamond plate coated with Linex. We were going for a non uniform utilitarian look (as in only were needed). For example like the air intake cap on an H1 only on one side not two just to make it symmetrical. We did not feel the need for the doors to be covered and thought it would be too much on this truck. On a Black truck this “Look“ could easily include the doors being covered with out being to much. The Rock sliders protect the doors.

I understand Your ideas. i think it is nice to go out and do with Your rig what You want.
My Girl is a Mall Queen and like it that way. Where I am if you off road it is mud and I can do thet an any big 4X4 truck etc.
I own an H2 because off how much You can do to it to shape into what You want. Plus I have owned alot of vehicles and the H2 is the best riding and driving rig I have ever been in.
I do really and honestly think You should do something to integrate the look into the doors. Maybe just smaller panels some how. I like what Your doing. At some point I'm going to buy and older H2 to fix up for off road and use the big Armour bummper systems and paint it up most likely camo. Make it My daily driver maybe.
You can see My rig in photo section under Rick's Stealth Gray. I think it is at the bottom of page 1 or top of 2.
Good luck on Your project as it will allways be in work as My Girl is.
I take it to shows and have a little more on it now and building more one off type light bars for roof as well as other things. I spent 2 days this week talking to a graphic designer about possible graphic designs. Going to have him do 3 or 4 and let Me see how close He comes to what I explained. It will be different to a great degree than what anyone I've talked to has thought about, not that it may have been done somewhere else. Just have not seen or heard of idea I'm looking into.

I have to admit the rock sliders came out much less detracting than I thought they might when you originally posted. In fact, I see where they could be a produt that I would be interested in purchasing possibly.
As for the diamond plate, I can appreciate a utilitarian approach, but I can't find the logic in thinking that you are going to need that protection over the wheel wells, on top of the hood, but not the doors. And I do understand that you are figuring on the rock sliders taking the damage there, but when I have dented up my ride at that height up the side, the damage extended from the mirror to the rear of the truck.
Of course diamond plate would not help there anyway, but it would be nice to know it was there if I was making my way around a heavy branch or something of that nature.
Anyways, my 2 cents. I think you have a product with possible market impact with the rock sliders if you refine them a bit.

I don't think anything short of an Exo-cage would have stopped that. I can do those also. Not Spamming just stating the facts. I am sorry Covering the doors would just be to much as in the last time I think someone said gawdy??? I figure say a branch is rubbin your front or rear finder or hood really hard you could stop before it gets to one of the doors. The Aluminum plating is only going to stop a light bump or rub without denting. I like the trucks to look like the roled off the set of some Si-Fi or action movie. I also think it gives a police like look. Simular to the old Black and White units. The rock sliders in there present state would be expensive, they are very labor and material intensive. I am working on other options which I will have time to develope after finishing Berserker (Ultimate Trail Rig). You can see the work in progress on my web site.
What string is the story about your Rock Rash? I would like to here the Gory details.

Just Linex the truck along from the top of the door handles and down the crease to the back and along the crease on the hood down. Sort of like a two color paint job.
