Default air compressor

HELP I am a chaplain not much mechanic skills I have a 03 H2 Hummer with the air suspention, the compressor has got where it continously runs after the engine is shut off and has killed my battery can you tell me how to unplug the compressor until I can get everything fixed

I don't have air suspension but if I remember correctly, the compressor sits right in front of the rear bumper.

If you look at it,you should be able see how to disconnect the power. If not, I'd imagine there are only 2 wires going to it. You could just cut one and wrap it for now.

If you do that, make sure you don't cut it so close to an end that you can splice it up again.

Mark thank you for the info, as I looked at the compressor there was 2 wiring connectors that was plugged into the back side of the compressor they look like the connectors for a trailor not sure which to try to unplug also would it be very difficult to do away with the air system altogether and have regular suspension again thanks

Sounds like the compressor relay is stuck on. It is located below the brake master cylinder just above the framerail.

If it is stuck, just replace the relay. Common problem in the early models due to being so close to the exhaust manifold and getting hot. Its a safe bet that its stuck, just unplug it and go to the dealer with the old one and order a new one

looks and sounds like you do this for a living I will get this stuff fixed thanks to your help
another question
How do you check sunroof drains to see if they are clogged my roof leaks and the water comes in from around the small speaker above the driver seat

Been workin on these trucks from day one. Was in south bend Indiana for h1 hummer training when the first ones were rolling off the assembly line next door tothe h1 plant

Hello Humtech I did not get a chance to try to work on the problems with my hummer but could you tell me how to discount the compressor sylnoid, is there a fuse or breaker that I can pull

you can pull the vses/ecas fuse in the underhood fuse block

Hummertech the info that you gave me before has helped, I have a new problem, the rear lift door will not open you can hear the lock engage and disengage but when I pull the handle on the rear the lift door does not open the door any more do you know how I can fix this problem
