how much is my '03 H2 worth?
I am thinking of selling my '03 and upgrade to an '07 or maybe a left over '06. The problem that I'm having is that I have alot invested in my '03 and it's kinda hard for me to part with it. So what do you guys think it would be worth if I decided to sell it? Honestly?
mileage is currently at 46,396
read my signature below to see all the extras I have on the '03...

I have no idea CBR. But what I would suggest is that if you have any of the "original" parts then I would take off the aftermarket pieces you have and then put them on the new one you get. I know those rims and tires you have are a few bucks as well as the programmer and exhaust. Couldnt those easily be installed on the 06???
Just my .015 worth

Re: how much is my '03 H2 worth?
Trade in: $23,500-$25,000
Sell it yourself: $25,000-$26,000
Retail: $27,000-$30,000
There are very low mileage 2005's with Lux around here selling for low $40,000's.
My bro-in-law just took in trade a 2005 Lux with low miles and some extras for $35,000.
As others have said, keep your aftermarket stuff and use it on your next Hummer or sell it seperately.
KBB is giving more, but having seen what's around town (I'm next to the original Manheim Auction) and what stuff is doing at auction, I wouldn't have high hopes.

Re: how much is my '03 H2 worth?
www.nada.com
www.kbb.com
Take the total cost of your acc.'s and add 1/3 of the cost you hav spent. That's about all you can get out of it your acc.s'/
The programmer will not work on the 06 or 07. They changed something. I have an 03 Hypertech that would not work in the 05 or 06. At the very least, I would swap out the tires/ rims. I'm sure someone local to you would swap for a short time if you gave them new stockers when you picked up your new ride. The dealer may even have a set for you to use.
It's a sweet truck for sure!!!!
With all of your stuff, I'd ask 40K and see what happens. With the 6K cash back on the 06's, it may be tougher to sell. however, 40K with the acc's you have is a very nice price if you can find someone who wants the ACC's you have done to it.
Good luck,
Tim.

Re: how much is my '03 H2 worth?
I only paid $40K for my 2006 with 11K miles about 3 months ago here in Dallas. I figure the supply of H2s in CA is pretty good as well.
The damn gas prices have really hurt the resale of all large trucks, not just the Hummers... I took a big hit on the Tahoe I traded in on the my H2.
Id just keep it and be happy. Especially with all the goodies you have.

these are good figures to use, the after market stuff is not really worth anything on a trade.

Re: how much is my '03 H2 worth?
That's right... nothing. Aftermarket add-ons or not, no one in their right mind will pay 40K for an '03.
I was thinking of upgrading my '03 to a newer model and even with liftkit, wheels, tires, stereo, 3 cameras, DVD screens in both headrests, nav, winch, blah, blah, blah... I was thinking I would be lucky to get 30k

Re: how much is my '03 H2 worth?
thanks for all the input guys. if i do decide to sell it, i think that i will try to sell it outright with all the aftermarket stuff on it. i would never trade it in at the stealership because i know i will not get much out of it.
i'm thinking of maybe putting it on ebay with lots of pics and a list of all the aftermarket upgrades with a reserve price of $36,500.00...that way, if it doesn't sell, at least i will have an idea of how much someone is willing to pay for it

IMHO chipping any vehicle reduces its value. I'd leave the programmer out of the description when you sell it.

Re: how much is my '03 H2 worth?
I have two different answers for you...
1. If you're rich, sell it and buy a new one.
2. If you're not rich, KEEP IT!
I just went through the same thing you're going through. I have a bone stock '03 H2 with 76,000 miles on it. Was going to trade it in for a new '06 (GM is offering $6,500 cash back OR 0% financing for 72 months on those).
The stealership offered me $26,000 for mine. Once I crunched the numbers, I realized that if I were to by the new '06 H2 SUT I wanted (sticker was $63K), I'd have to leave that one bone stock because certain upgrades will void the warranty and I wouldn't have the $$$ to get any upgrades anyhow.
However, if I keep the one I have now, I can drop a brand spankin' new engine in the beast (as well as plenty of other things) for WAY less than a new one will cost me.
So, I'm gonna keep the one I have and I just placed a large order for a Fabtech 6" Lift, Fabtech Heavy Duty Tie Rods, Fabtech Steering Stabilizer, Fabtech Duel Shocks, 20" Moto Metal Rims, 38" Tires, H20 Rear Bumper, H20 Corner Ladder (X2), Black Door Handles (I hate chrome), and a Tilt Meter. And I've still got plenty of $$$ left over.

Re: how much is my '03 H2 worth?
An '03 with under 50K miles is still a baby. Keep it. I sold two '03's and got nothing for them. Seems like you've put a lot of sweat equity into your rig as well. Just keep putting more mods on it and keep it clean. I remember my dad once telling me that if I ever got the itch to sell a car, that I should give it a good detail first. Having a shiny rig has stopped me from selling my cars many times...

Re: how much is my '03 H2 worth?
I have a friend who owns some dealerships and of course takes in trades all the time. They have a seperate used car lot by itself.
Unfortunately for all of Us who go and spend allot of money to make Our H2's fit Our taste the add-ons are figured at about $100 of value for every $1000 You spend adding to the ride You have. It does not matter to much what the ride is.
There are exceptions of some vehicles that just have better resell value from base models anyway. So do not put much hope in what You have added. The only way add-ons retain more value is if You have a buyer that understands the amount of money He can save by having what You have put on. Even then they will discount add-ons if they know what they are doing. Sort of like the old saying that as soon as You drive a new ride off the lot it just lost 30 to 40% of it's value.

no complaints at all with my tires and rims...the tires are a little louder on the pavement than the stock tires but my stereo system fixed that problem ...no snow here in Cali so i don't know what to tell you on that
