A little research has led me to believe that the 'tire carrier' recovery loops are 'deeper' then the standalone recovery loops. The Gobi product does not slide far enough back over the recovery loop base to fit flush.
Some threads on here have mentioned 'spacers' that were offered by Gobi to remedy this problem, but I have been unable to find the actual product anywhere. Thoughts?
Worst case scenario, I'll prolly just rig something up or take them to the welding shop and have them thicken them up, but I thought I'd check with ya'll first.

Here is what I'm toying around w/ -
http://www.amp-research.com/products...ories/bedstep/
I am building custom steel bumpers. I havn't had a chance to call Amp yet. There are a bunch of different mounting options for that step. I'm sure I can get one of them to work.
I'm anxious to see how yours turns out though...keep us posted.

Please tell me all you have done to that truck.
When I saw the bumper my jaw dropped.
Did you have bedliner sprayed on it?
I would really like to see more of your "truck"
and know all the little things you have done

Good read.
Is there anything else you have done to your truck that you can tell me or let me read about?
I am looking to eventually raise it some and put some wider and taller tires on it. I dont want to go nuts in the lift since it isnt like I am going monster off roading. I was thinking like 3-6 inches at the most and then as much tire as the gap could hold.
Also anything done inside?
I am finishing up the the headlights (just some silverstar ultras), grip taped the nerf bars, wiring of my amp and sub, replacing the padding with something nicer, wiring up some back up and side lights so I can see where I am going when I pull into the driveway, and probably my emergency flashers (for when I have an emergency med call). I put in a switch for the lights, replacing a cigarette lighter (dont smoke) and it looks VERY factory. Also thinking about buying some roof mounted lights.
Given I have only had the truck for about a month now
