Noisy sunroof
My damn sunroof rattles at just about any speed at just about any opening!! The dealer told me GM knows about it, but they don't have a fix. WTF?!? It seems to be getting worse, any of you DIY'ers have any ideas?? Anyone else have this issue?? TIA

Re: Noisy sunroof
What kind of rattle is it? I've heard some bad squeaks when opening before (which just needed some WD40) and the weird air-flow ear popping thing if you put it ALL the way back...is it like the track isn't a tight enough fit?

Re: Noisy sunroof
The dealer's whacked. It may be a known issue, but there IS a fix for it. Sunroofs are designed to be adjustable and rattles can always be tightened up.
... or if it's completely defective, you get a new one

Re: Noisy sunroof
X2 on what kind of rattle. About 5 blocks from the dealership the night I picked mine up I hit a bump (not a big one either) and something broke in the sunroof. If would then rattle whenever you hit a bump and would pop up on the front right corner of the sunroof when you shut the doors. You could sit there and push it up and down. On mine it had something to do with the adjustment screw right there near the front right corner. They put in a temp fix while they waited on the part and no noises since.

Re: Noisy sunroof
the problem is a dangling wire by your light next to the sunroof. put some pressure on it and see if it goes away.. is that it? or is it really your sunroof? i took my to the dealer and they put tape on it for me to hold it down and its all good in the hood now

It rattles as if it was loose. I first thought it just needed a better wind buffer (like the H2's), until it started doing it at 30 mph, 1/2 way open. Yea, I also have the squeak.

I'll be right back...there is a bulletin on this subject. But doggie has to go out before she leaves me a 10 pound surprise.

Re: Noisy sunroof
Dude, thanks for the info. I'll call the dealer and see if they can do this.
