Hi All,
Just replaced the 15/39.5-17 Trxus Bias & 17" Weld Stone Crushers with 38x15.50R20s on 20" American Racing Mojaves. I ordered the Bias 39.5's for 20's but the 38's are what arrived. They sold me on the "better ride" of the radials etc. but I think that I have lost a little of the "offroad" look that I liked with the Trxus 39.5 Bias. They were right about the ride - much better - but I am thinking about going ahead and ordering the 39.5 Bias and biting the bullet... all comments oppinions are appreciated, thanks...

Hi,
It's all personal taste. I don't like 38's on 20's. IMO 38's look better on 18's (my choice), but if you like the 20", go with 40's.
Here is pics of 40" tires on 20" rims; http://elcova.com/groupee/forums/a/t...011#5601070011

Thanks for your reply and suggestion Jerry. I was trying to post a pic earlier... I figured it out. I am actually getting used to the different look now. I think it's pretty sharp. I'll probably still go with 39.5s or 40's in a few months though.

Looks good!
38's are easier to balance, and offer better ride. Again it's all a matter of taste, but I do like the pic you posted.

Raptor,
Did you make any suspension modifications? If it's still stock, does the tires rub? any difference in your trucks hight (+/- inches)? Your ride looks great... and you say it rides better.. sounds like a win-win situation.

Thanks drmiles!
vip808 - Yes it has a 6 inch rancho lift. The 38 inch radials are of course very close in size to the 39.5 bias so the loss or gain in the height is minimal. The tires do not rub, in fact I could go with 40's and still might. I re-iterate that the ride is 1000% better...

The difference in a 38 and 39.5 in ground clearance is .75". If the ride is that much better I would never go back to the Bias tire. I would however get a Warn 9.5ti winch with multimount. " The bigger the truck, the stickyer the muck"

Actually, due to tread wear, the new 38's were taller than the 39.5's - lol
I am thinking about removing the stock nerf bars and maybe replacing them with the XTC steps.
Anyone have any pics H2's with the XTC steps installed?

Raptor,
I just put on my XTC steps yesterday, they are much better than the OEM step/boards that are on the H2. I think they function better for foot placement as well as look better. I will get some pics this weekend and post.

GVME20,
Great! I appreciate your feedback... Sounds like I can't go wrong with a better look and better functionality. I look forward to seeing the pics. Thanks for your help!

Nice Job!! The wheels and tires look very uniform with that lift. 15 inch wide rims. Sweeeeeet!!

Thanks, I like the new look. If I went with what I really want, it would have a 15 inch lift with 49's, but that just not realistic for daily use...
