Default This May Be A Dupe Question....But WTF..

As of Today..Has anyone heard what is going on with the 2010 H2? Are they going to gear up and build one. Did some searching on the net but couldn't find any info on this subject.

Just wondering as I see Jeep advertissing the poop out of there rig and wondering if the Chicoms will contract AM General to keep my beloved H2 going into 2010.

There is "Nothing Else" on the planet like the H2...I'd hate to see it end at 2009. If it does...at least I'll have one of the last production years they made it.

Wish I could find an up todate Auto site that would keep us posted on the H2.

I spoke to the sales mgr locally and according to him nothing will change except that little "GM" badge on the side (08 & 09 Models). As for when? He said 2012. I'm hoping one day they'll put the tranny in that goes from 8cyl to 6cyl to 4cyl while cruising, but thats another topic.

Can't find squat on the H2 as stated as far as what's what. I'd like to see that 8 to 4 cyl fuel managemaent motor that the Caddy "XLT" and Chevy trucks use. My friend just bought a new 2010 Caddy XLT with the 409 HP Motor that has that system. he getting 21 mpg on the highway. I think its the same motor that GM uses in all it's big Platforms including the H2. Except my 09 is 393 HP less the Fuel Management system.

But who gives a F _ _ K about gas prices...I Don't

Well at least he's saying untill 2012..which indicates they'll still be making them...in a way..that's good news.

When General Motors' assembly plant in Shreveport, La., opened this morning, there was a 2.5-ton hole in the lineup left by the Hummer. GM has halted production of the H3 and H3T, the last two Hummers that were still being made.

GM negotiated the sale of Hummer to a Chinese company in 2009, but the deal has yet to gain approval of the Chinese government, and analysts are skeptical the sale will go through. If the sale fails, the final Hummer will have rolled off the assembly line last week.

I know this is about the H3 and not the same plant.
This was on the H3 forum today so it does not sound good.

Thanks Rico001 for the reply...Where did you see that info??

I had heard several weeks ago that the Chinese Government DID approve the buy and that they were going to continue the H3.

This is what I mean... Where do you get the real story..??
