I an looking to install a Pioneer Avic-N1. I was concerned about the vents being covered. Any one have pictures of this installed? Also, can the avic1 be programed for directons while the vehicle is moving?

Install the Pioneer AVIC-D1 instead. It is a double din touch screen with GPS. No flip up screen to worry about. I've seen them as cheap as $1200. Look around.

i currently have a pioneer flip out and all i did was mount the install kit upside down.screen opens fully and can even tilt back a bit and the vents arent blocked.

Don't go with the AVIC N1. I had it and got rid of it. Although great features, here is my experience..
1. Still interferes with the vents in the when installed in the lower part of the double Din. 2. The auto Dim is much too sensitve. You will wind up totaling your vehicle trying to see the screen in daylight. Basically unusable during the Day.
3. My dealer could never seem to get the Onstar adapter to work flawlesly.
4. Menus take some time to get used too.

Comes with much experience and frustration..
