Was cruising the Hummer web site and discovered the H3 has a Nav system available with the Monsoon stereo. Anyone have one?

The nav system has not been released yet but I believe it is supposed to be within the next month or two.

I know this isn't for the H3, but the dealer in my area told me that several H2's on the lot were broken into and the DVD Nav systems were stolen. That just sucks. I need to see how they're installed in the H2's. I really want a video screen, but I want to make sure it's hidden and not a target!

According to my dealer Hummer has not released the DVD/Nav system yet from the factory. You can factoy order it and when they finally release it you can bring you H3 back to the dealer for the installition. My dealership has well over 70 H3's on the lot and not a one has the DVD/Nav system. I also wanted to check it out as a possible option.

Alpine is the only way to go.....Alpine flip screen in dash w/ dvd, sirius sat, ipod, navigation, 10 1/2" flipdown monitor in back, xbox in the trunk. I looked at all the other brands and none of them compared with the alpine,,,,,

I would love to see how you got that to fit. The stock radio in the H3 is a double Din mount. I have the Kenwood Excelon KVT-817DVD in my Jeep now. It’s a single Din Radio like your Alpine.

I have not been able to find a matching face plate to cover the open space that the single Din radio will leave. Do you have a picture of your dash with the radio closed?

Thanks

For the H3 Use the Metra 99-3304 kit allows for a single DIN unit and the second DIN slot is a storage cubby hole

Problem with that is its black. So now I have this Black plastic ring inside that nice Brushed Aluminum dash applique. It may be better to find a Double Din non-pop out LCD screen system.

Like this. Although that may not fit perfectly either.
