Default Emily Miller, Team Hummer, Vegas to Reno

Emily Miller will become the first woman to ever drive the entire 550 mile Vegas to Reno offroad race on Aug 22. Her yellow specially prepared, Team Hummer H2 is a thing of beauty. At 100 pounds, and a young 40 years old, Emily is in peak physical condition! There are many links on the race and on Emily. Rod Hall and Chad Hall will be driving their H3 and H1 in this year's race. Retired off road racer Mike Walker described the race in the following way, "Baja is like driving down the highway compared to the Vegas Reno race."

Rod will be driving his H3 with the I5. Chad will be driving his H3 Alpha. Josh will be driving his H2 SUT. Emily will be driving the semi retired H2 that Josh drove to several victories.

I might be in Las Vegas that weekend. Where does the race start from in relation to the strip? Is anyone else planning on going to watch the start?

Check out BITD.com for specific race info -- they've got everything under the "2008 Races" section.

I hope to be on the highway waving to them as they pass me by. Plan B is I will be helping them repair or replace anything they break. Plan A sounds a whole lot better to me.
