Front mount bike hitch
Does anybody have pics of a hitch mount bike carrier on the front hitch? Been thinking about trying it, but concerned about visibility problems.... I'm too lazy to set up everything right now. I have an allen hitch mount carrier....

Re: Front mount bike hitch
I actually toos mine on the front as it won't clear the spare on the rear. The bike is right in your field of view, but it's not a big deal. I do get a lot of funny looks though!!

Re: Front mount bike hitch
You can clear the spare with an extension. Heres a pic of the front mount. I only do this when we do shuttles though. 2 bikes on the front and 2 bikes on the back.

Re: Front mount bike hitch
Wow, that sits HIGH! I use the front for the bikes when I have the cargo basket or a trailer but my bike rack holds the bikes from the top of the frame so they don't ride quite like that. I would recommend covers for them (if they're nice bikes) as the front of the truck takes a lot of road abuse.

Re: Front mount bike hitch
you can always get mouonts that fit into your factory tracks.
Yakima Landing pads work perefect along with towers and their longest HD bars.
