H3 Monsoon Question
Does anyone know if the Monsoon 6 CD stereo is RDS enabled. Basically if you connect this new Ipod FM transmitter an RDS enabled radio will display what tracks are currently playing.
Here's the link:

Re: H3 Monsoon Question
its not RDS enabled. it would have been nice if it was. Thats actually a pretty good idea, but infortunately it wont work; well it will work you just wont get the name, artist displayed.

Re: H3 Monsoon Question
Don't think any of the stock radios have RDS. Sucks cause RDS is cool with new music and anyway I like knowing what's playing.

Re: H3 Monsoon Question
transmitters are crappy compared to a direct hook up. Get a direct hook up and when you turn up the volume, you'll hear every instrument in clairity and the bass won't feel like it's suppressed.

Re: H3 Monsoon Question
Logjam Electronics carries an adapter called Neucleus..yes, that's how it's spelled. All together, it costs about $185.00. It will dispalay the song and artist on the stereo, as well as allow you to control the I-Pod through the stereo. It does have a couple of quirks that could possibly be resolved with a little patience in the installation. I never could get the face plate off, so I had Car Toys install it. It makes an odd scratchy sound when you manually change the first song or two, but then it stops doing it. Sounds great, though!

Re: H3 Monsoon Question
the cd changer radio and regular radio dont have it on the h3. i know the trailblazer has it and i think the tahoe so its on alot of factory stereos. here in chicago there are alot of radio stations broadcasting rds. its pretty good, but if you have xm or serius no rds needed.
