Default bentley continental gt

I may be day dreaming here. But I'm thinking in about a year, this will be parked next to my 3. Right now, they're selling used; 35,000miles, 05'-06', for $65g. That's a $100g depreciation in 4yrs. Oh, yes. I want one. My mom baught the 2010 Lexus RX350. It's nice, but it's a luxury Toyota. She's been driving a 99' Jag XJ8L that my rents bought brand new 11yrs ago. Still a beautiful car, exceptionaly well maintained. I remember when they pulled into the driveway. I get to drive it while I'm home for this two weeks. They don't make Jags like that anymore. Real wood trim wrapped everything. Only Bently and RR really do the old school, 7,000lb, big engine, luxury cars like that. Mercedes is way over priced. BMW's are sportcars. I want the Bentley coupe; TT V12 w/ 600hp and enought room for 4 pax comfortably. I'm pretty sure this Jag will be sitting in my garage come spring. But I think I going to start doing some collecting. I'm rich by now means. But I'm single, no kids, and only me to worry about. Plus, uncle sam likes paying me pretty well for being single.

What do you car guys think?

honestly, seeing what it takes to do trails in Alaska. That's about the last thing I'm going to buy. The Jag is coming north in the spring and I'm getting something only for the trail. Pretty much a 1 ton something. But the GT is as classy and sexy as it gets with a 600hp back seat.

Have you test drove a Alpha?
Nothing like a new truck!
The Bentley is classic. Parts and service can be expensive

A new alpha has been on my mind. But the 3 I have now is pretty impressive. And parked next to a Bentley GT in some 25yr olds garage. Yes, I like that very much.

Sounds like your priorities are jacked up. You want a Bentley GT with 600HP living in AK. Let me ask you this. Are you liscensed or an expert on reparing and maintaining a car such as this? Is there a local Bentley dealer to maintain this vehicle for you??

Also I have an H2 but saying an H3 is "pretty impresive" when someone suggest an Alpha is just retarded. 25yr old with H3 and Bentley sounds like you are only interested in trying to get laid.

Other than that I love that car as well

Yes, pretty impressive. It's not the brand new Lexus or classic Jaguar I've been driving for the last 2 weeks. But Compared to the American cars I've been in, around, and owned over then last 10yrs; it is impressive. Not to mention the amount of **** I've driven it through and still made the drive across the Alkan like butter. Plus it fits very nicley down the tight trails. It's pretty much exactly what I want. I do like the V8 in the Alpha, but I've had this truck for a year this February. I think I'll keep it a little longer before replacing it. I just want to add to the stable. I'll be driving the Jaguar north next summer. But I'm still googly eyeing the Bently GT. It's a beautifuly built and designed car. Plus they are starting to become affordable.

As for my priorities. Well, that's human condition, I'm free homie. Just me.

In a brief moment of auto craziness that I get now and then, I bought a 1989 Bentley Turbo R in 1998 from Schmidt RRs. Bentleys are the only cars that use mineral oil in the brake lines except for RRs, so be careful who services it and works on your brakes. It has tires that are unique to it and the RRs and you can't find them at any price anywhere and when they come up on Ebay they run 600 each and then you have to ship them from GB unless you go to a slightly wider cross section. The power steering pumps are a major source of agrivation on all Bentley's, even the newer ones, and Rolls.
If you don't count the 4000 I put into maintenance on it, I sold it two years later what I paid for it and the "camel tan hide seats" are the most comfortable I ever sat on. You gotta love the real wood dash and like the Hummer, Bentleys are head turners. Parts were a big issue, because Rolls and Bentley have parts unique to each. The turbo R was a great highway cruiser and for a big tank it would do 145 mph. I really wanted to keep it, but the wife said you're not building another garage or adding on to the current one - she keeps my limit at six slips with one for the tractor. Bentleys are fun and reasonable to insure but finding a good Bentley mechanic in the Midwest was a pain as well as the ridiculous cost of parts. All in all, I would have like to have kept it, but it ended up sitting a lot and not being driven.

That was a good input. It's nice to see the price on some of these cars come down. I've seen some really nice Vipers on ebay for dirt cheap.
