-06 torsion bars, keys, bolts or something else different than -03 ?
2003 Hummer H2 have different torsion key adjusting bolt height (approx 4 turns more driver side one) and 2006 H2 torsion key adjusting bolts are perfectly level . I know its not uncommon to have different heights either side but why is it that 2006 is perfectly level...
Both trucks are level outside...

I have a 2004 and I have had the same issue. not sure if it is a weak or worn out torsion bar but the Driver side needs to be turned more than the passenger side.

I and others have experienced just the opposite: Passenger side turned in more... Read this thread I started <HERE>.

With stock keys how far would you crank torsion key bolts- I would like have most comfortable ride
Rancho installation manual says: "Verify that the front spindle to fender height is 28.5" and that both sides are equal..."
My truck is -03 with rancho 4" lift, 9000xl shocks and RCX system to control shocks from cabin.

Re: -06 torsion bars, keys, bolts or something else different than -03 ?
You've already lifted your ride 4", so assuming your ride is level side to side there's really no point in changing your torsion bar adjustment. Also changing the adjustment too much can require a wheel re-alignment.

Re: -06 torsion bars, keys, bolts or something else different than -03 ?
I have to do a wheel re-alignment anyway ... My point was to get truck level Front - Rear but it seems to affect ride comfort too much .
I just measured front is both sides 30.5" and rear 34" both sides.
I would like to know how much other H2?s have so please post yours.
front spindle height ?

You got it, your drawing is correct. Make sure the 28.5" dimension is for a Hummer H2!

Re: -06 torsion bars, keys, bolts or something else different than -03 ?
If I adjust it back to ranchos recommend I have 5.5" more height at the back when rear air suspension activated .

Re: -06 torsion bars, keys, bolts or something else different than -03 ?
Are you saying you are able level front to rear by raising the front 5.5" by cranking up the stock torsion keys? (I wouldn't think this possible). If you are, no wonder you are experiencing a harsh ride and this is NOT advised. You will be changing the front suspension geometry and putting a lot of stress on the UCA ball joints (UCA = Upper Control Arm) among other things.
Read <THIS ARTICLE> to get some insight to the geometry of the GM front suspension. This doesn't really apply in your case considering you've already lifted your ride, but it will give you an idea of what happens when you crank your torsion bars.

Re: -06 torsion bars, keys, bolts or something else different than -03 ?
I can gain approx 2.5" more from 28.5" to~31" from center to fender . we have very bumpy roads here so it really makes difference how torsion bars are adjusted for example at this height (30.5"center to fender) way too stiff...
I know that article but thanks alot very good information.
Cognito leveling seems to be only good front leveling kit but I dont know will it work with rancho 4" lift they do have also new upper control arm kit for lifted applications but it doesnt give more lift I think. I have send them email but no answer yet ...

Ranchos kit doesnt come with new upper control arm. I think cognito kit might work but I´m not sure at all...

Re: -06 torsion bars, keys, bolts or something else different than -03 ?
cognito
I would be more than happy to gain extra 2" front lift but would not like to lose comfort ride....

Yes, the Cognito upper control arm kit for lifted applications would be indicated for your situation. The folks at Trail Duty are highly recommended, they will answer your concerns soon.
Assuming you go the Cognito route, there are other alternative torsion bar keys that will give you the lift you want:
MAXX CAM 2 Leveling kit
ReadyLift leveling kits
Trail Duty carries these also.
A MUCH cheaper alternative (about $40.00 each US). is the Chevy 1/2 ton "green" keys (green is just a color code). They're really the same thing. If you have a GM dealership in Finland you can order these. They look like this (the difference is obvious, the H2 key is the one on top and the Chevy key is the one on the bottom):

Re: -06 torsion bars, keys, bolts or something else different than -03 ?
thanks for a good information
what I´ve been told
if I crank my stock keys to archieve +2" lift or buy these aftermarket keys same result: stiffer ride (if used without cognito kit) .
I might not need aftermarket keys with cognito kit if I can crank my stock keys to archieve lift I want right?
"Maxx Cam 2 can lift the front of your truck up to 3-full inches or lower it 2.5-inches with virtually no loss of ride quality"
"ReadyLift® keys are guaranteed never to affect the OEM ride and will not add more pressure on the stock suspension components."
It seems that no one can tell me will cognito kit work with ranchos lift I´ve send various email to ranchosuspension, cognitomotorsports, trailduty just to name few still after week no answer yet...

Yes, but the stiffer ride is caused by the fact that the shocks and upper control arms bottom out to soon. And even if the correct replacement shocks are not bottoming out any more, the factory upper control arm is still bottoming out on the bump-stop way too soon, this is what is giving you that stiff harsh ride

Right!

Not true, because the UCA is still bottoming out on the bump-stop way too soon.

This really is only half true, but cranking the torsion bars will not add more pressure on the stock suspension.

You might try a phone call. The person you need to talk to at Trail Duty is Phil. Toll Free (in the US): 888 711 5908 - Tel: 361 288 2466 - Fax: 361 288 2196
Might just be a whopping phone bill from Finland though!!!

Re: -06 torsion bars, keys, bolts or something else different than -03 ?
got mail from Phil and Cognito works with ranchos lift.
Both cognito kits works: upper control arm ball joint desing and stronger choise would be uniball upper control arms..
I´m just thinking is the uniball desing worth 220$ The ball joint isn´t the weakest point of front supension I think..
Thanks a lot

Re: -06 torsion bars, keys, bolts or something else different than -03 ?
Hammer, if you do any serious off-roading in Finland then you should know that the real weak link of the H2's front steering components are the tie rods.
Check out <THIS VIDEO CLIP> to see why.
Anyone into serious off roading should replace the OEM tie rods with the <Fabtech Tie Rods>.
Good luck with your project!
