Got 40,000 miles on my 03 H2 and its never seen a dealer. Never at all. I have been having all my service done by Jiffy Lube. What will the dealer do that has not been done so far? If I take it to the dealer I want to tell THEM what needs done vs them charging me for things already done. Also, I still have the factory tires. Not been doing any off roading. Should I replace?
8/03 10k mile FS, FDS, WB, WTS
10/03 FS
1/04 FS RDS
5/04 FS
9/04 FS WB
FS= Full Service, FDS: Font Differential, WB= Wiper Blades, WTS: Windshield Treatment, RDS: Rear Diff. When Front or Rear Diff is done, the Transfer Case is done.

This has come up several times lately: Make sure when JL lubes your undercarriage they remove the skid plate. Otherwise they will not see, or be able to reach, a couple of fittings.

With over 25 years experience and 80+ vehicles, I have learned to either service my automobiles myself or go to a specific service, ie; Jiffy lube, Wal-Mart, etc. Going to the dealership for service,(outside of major warranty work) has almost always lead to more problems.
You are outside of the standard 36,000 warranty period. Your 40,000+ miles of trouble free service is probably directly related to not having the Hummer dealership service your H2.
I would highly suggest replacement of your tires. At 40,000 miles you have got $$$ worth. I'm assumming that the cost vs. safety is not an issue for you and most all H2 owners.
I don't carry the spare at all, even when traveling cross country, which I have done several times. Outside of a complete blowout, spare air and a basic tire repair kit could take care of most tire failures. Provided that you have tires in good to excellent condition.
