So, I see discrimination there. Shall we file suit or contact the ACLJ?
http://www.aclj.org/About/default.aspx?Section=9

(Hey, don't knock them if you disagree with some of their beliefs. They are usually the polar opposite of the ACLU!)

So it's OK to take your '78 Blazer with 44's and rusted out mufflers, and tear their **** up?
Hmmm...
Makes sense to me!

I don't understand why this:
"FOR REASONS OF HEALTH & SAFETY

OCEAN HAVEN CANNOT ACCOMMODATE SMOKERS,

PETS, OR FOLKS TRAVELING IN A HUMMER"

links to this:
http://www.icrc.org/

Someone should let them know about this:
http://www.seriouswheels.com/top-200...se-Vehicle.htm

I wonder if they'll accomodate red cross personel in a hummer? Maybe they'll think differently when they get hit with a nice big wave....

That means that I can't tow my H2 behind RV and be accepted into their community.

Take your Hummer and just tell them it's really a Tahoe.

HAHA great quote stacy.

Who the hell wants to go to oregon when you can go to vegas. They see you pull up in your hummer and they roll out the red carpet. You can smoke almost anywhere, free drinks. And they allow you to take pet bunnies up to your room

I don't know if I could fool them. Do they make Big Bright Sunset Orange Tahoes?

Since they're so concerned about low impact on the environment, why don't they just burn the place down? Get rid of it totally and there won't be anymore impact.
Take the time to read the menu. I'd gnaw my arm off if I had to eat some of that stuff!

Should I send this to them?

Dear Ocean Haven,

What have I done to deserve this? I just saw your website, and I must tell you, I feel hurt and disappointed that you went out of your way to exclude me from what you consider acceptable clientele.

I have worked as a volunteer ski patrolman since 1980. I pay for my own lodging, food and equipment whenever on patrol. I presently serve as the Region Secretary for the Southern California Region of National Ski Patrol. With my presence at work being of such critical importance, I purchased the vehicle I felt most likely to get me to my assignments, regardless of weather, road closures, etc. And yes, as an emergency medical provider, the Highway Patrol DOES allow me to pass road closures. I have been a non-smoker and strict vegetarian (no meat fish, foul, or byproducts there from) since 1972. I love the outdoors and want the wonders of our planet preserved for generations to come, in a balanced way that respects the rights of all.

I can cite at least a half a dozen very popular vehicles that pollute worse than my H2 Hummer. I can't decide if going out of your way to single out owners of these vehicles stems more from ignorance or malice. Mostly, I suppose it is an attempt to ingratiate your establishment with those whom you perceive to be your potential patrons. Okay, I suppose I can understand your wanting to maximize your sales. I wonder if you are doing more to boost sales or turn people (such as myself) away with your "cute" Hummer bashing. I know that some people (myself NOT included) are considering contacting the ACLU about your exclusive practices. This reminds me of "private" clubs, once upon a time, thinking they needed to exclude Jews to maximize their business. I hope this analogy is not lost on you and that you will reconsider your practices.

Be well,

Ron
