Default Black H2 hood latch conversion

I replaced my chrome hood latches with black ones, they cost me over $200. from the dealer. I recently switched to billet ones and left over was the 4 essential components to black out your chrome latches. Will sell for $47. shipped in the cont. USA (will include instructions how to swap the rubber strap, super easy).

Hey, sorry to drag up an old thread, but how did you manage to swap out the plastic straps ? I bought some pirate black billet hood latches, and they use the original rubber straps. On the instructions it says to basically use a driver to push the pins out, but i've not been able to do it, and i'd like to check before i take a hammer to it. Any ideas ? or is brute force required.

thx

For any of you also considering Pirate MFG latches, i'd say avoid like the plague. You can see my review of them on Amazon.com and also a build thread on another well known hummer formums site.

Terrible customer service, shoddy product. I like the look now i've got them on, but were they worth the money (or more importantly the hassle) - absolutely not!
