37" tires on 18" or 20" rims ?
My next upgrade I want is a little taller tire. I'm presently running PRO-COMP XTREME a/t 33" x 13.50 on 18" MC2 rims. (They came on the truck when I bought it)
I'm happy with the style of the rims and width of the tire but think the 33" height make them look like I'm riding on "donuts". I was considering going with 37" NITTO DUNE GRAPPLER's. Has anyone put these on 18" rims? Is there any difference between putting 37" tires on 20" rims and 18" rims? Would they both have equal amount of rub if any?
Thanks for any help.

Re: 37" tires on 18" or 20" rims ?
I appreciate the input guys.
If I keep my 18" MC2 wheels and go with 37" x 13.50" tires do you think this would look ok? I would prefer to have 20"s or 22"s but like the style
of my MC2's and prefer not to shell out $$$ for a whole new set of rims.
I was told that these rims were made specificly for the H2 and since they have zero offset would be less likely to majorly rub with larger tires (Not sure if this is true or not).
As far as tires I like the look of the sidewall of the NITTO DUNE GRAPPLER but it sounds like the preformance sucks. I may go with another set of PROCOMP XTREME AT's in 35"s or 37"s. I like the wide stance of the 13.5" width but not sure if 37" x 13.50" would create a major problem on 18" rims.
Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated.
BOSSHOSS -- If possible can you post a side view pic of your rig with your PROCOMP 35"s?
thanks again

I'm on my second set of 37x13.5s on 18s with no problems whatsoever....better looking than 20s too, imo. If you get some rubbing, just crank the torsion bars up a bit, and get it realigned.

Hey im from south louisiana. Im running 37x12.5 on a 20 and i love them. I do get rub on hard turns i would imagine a 13.5 would rub alot.

I did 37's on 20's with some negative backspacing. ) rubbing with the 13.5.
I also ran Kumhos - was very impressed in all areas
I ran procomps for years on my expedition 35s - I would by the Kumhos again.

Re: 37" tires on 18" or 20" rims ?
Here's my 2 cents..... I have the same M2 18" rims and running 33" Nitto Terra Grapplers. My rig has a 4" lift and I'm not happy with the look, definately going bigger in a few months.
With some coil spacers and torsion bar keys I'm going with the same set up this guy did, he has a 4" lift and 18" rims too. 40's baby !!! http://www.elcovaforums.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=32933

Re: 37" tires on 18" or 20" rims ?
Decisions.......decisions
I like the look of the taller 37" Kumho's and the wide stance of the 13.50" Procomps but the look of the side wall of the Nitto Dune Grapplers.
Please bear with me . I'm not the most mechanicly inclined.
A few questions:
I'm not really sure if I understand what "OFFSET" of the wheel means. I was told my 18" MC2 wheels had zero offset. How do you measure the offset? What would be the ideal wheel offset to get the least amount of rub ?
As far as "cranking the the torsion bars" Is this something that they can do for me when I have the tires installed? I've seen some 2"-3" leveling kits on Ebay is this something I would need? I really don't want to lift my rig too much, just enough to keep the tires from rubbing.
Thanks again for all the input.

Boss Hoss, SILLY? no... not at all... I've had many compliments on my setup. I said, "I" wasn't satisfied with the look. It's good but could be better, just like many aspects of YOUR truck. You can see my truck on my profile.
