Re: Extended Shackles
How much do they add to your rear height, Bebe? Why are you adding them again?...to keep up with the added front height with new HD Tbars?
Looks like great fab work, can't go wrong with that!

That's one reason, but mostly to add height to the rear to compensate for the weight I have added.
Along with helper springs it will add height and stability to the truck.
Here is cestwicks truck after he added his extended shackles....

Thanks, that makes sense...but the pic's kinda deceiving, isn't it? On a twist, I can get that rear clearance. Got one on flat ground?
Without the new (or highly cranked) T-bars, that'll lift the back up the air like a cat in heat.

Re: Extended Shackles
Nice pieces. I've just send an email to Samco to see if I can order the same parts. It is not advertised on their website.
Lets wait and see.

Nope, one inch. I'll post pics later, I'm going to go put the front shocks on now.

Re: Extended Shackles
Interested to see how this turns out. Are these shackles available or were they custom made?

Re: Extended Shackles
What thickness plate are you using for those? It's hard to tell in the pics, maybe 1/4"?
