YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!

That is SO what I'm talking about!!!

Finally, a H2 with black wheels. Looks KILLER!!!!

Congrats man, you own the best looking H2 I've ever seen. Now all you need to do is paint the grille flat black to complete the look.

DRTYFN:

Very nice! Your H2 is a bit closer to what I wanted versus what I took to avoid the waiting time. I could have done without the "chrome look" stuff and moonroof (that I've never used).

Who did the powder coating and I usually don't ask about price, but can you give us a ball-park figure?

I'm looking at a couple of options for the grille. As for the powder-coating, I think it would probably cost around $50-75 depending on finish and who does it. The center caps are just spray painted with a flat black and they matched exactly. I've got much better pics but I can't figure out how to down-size them so I can post them. My next project is a custom roof rack. The company that's going to make it will mass produce them after the prototype is done.

DRTYFN:

Have you wheeled with the 37s yet? I hear they don't rub, which means I'm sold on getting a set when my stock A/Ts wear down.

I've tried every angle (both up and down & left/right) and haven't experienced any rubbing. The MTR's are a big improvement over the AT's. The noise level is about the same as the AT's. They also handle very well on wet pavement.

We're going on a snow run this weekend with another guy who put the 37s on his H2, and I'll be asking him all the same questions... Maybe I can even talk him into letting me drive!

kelley:

Keep me in mind for the next local event. I wanted to go on the snow run, but with a little one at home and an upcoming trip abroad, the timing is bad.

I look forward to hearing about the snow run.

Right on SJ. You're on my list of "locals" to consult for the next one. I can tell you now that Hollister is planned for April and that we might want to fit Patterson in sometime soon, too. I'll definitely keep you posted!
