Default Tow/Haul Mode Switch

I had to tow a friend's boat this weekend. I had never used the tow/haul switch before. I pressed it and it did nothing. I looked it up in the manual and it reads a indicator on dash should have illuminated.

Any ideas? I checked the fuses (under the hood and under the dash) with a meter. I will be pulling the dash to do a LED conversion this weekend and will check the that bulb too. I will also verify the connection on the back of the switch this weekend.

Anything else I should look for? Thanks
