Does anyone have any opinions on Brush Guards? I have been thinking about adding a Brush Guard but would like to know if they are more of a PITA than they're worth. I'm not looking to go off-roading into the woods, I just like the way they look on a Hummer. Are they hard to clean underneath...do they have a tendency to scratch the body? Do I go with Chrome, S.S. or OEM Black? Single, Dual, or wrap around? I know this is a personal taste issue here but opinions are much appreciated. I see an aweful lot of them for sale on eBay (take offs)and was worried that maybe they are'nt worth the expense.

My .02 worth. I just traded my double bar brush guard to a fellow member for a single. I happen to like the looks of an H2 even without a guard but to me, a single looks great without it being too much.

You should be able to find a used one for a couple of hundred bucks. The cool thing is, it's only held on by 6 bolts, you can remove it anytime for a different look.

Just for the record, the black powdercoated one cleans very easy and still allows the grill to be cleaned.

Get chrome! DO NOW!

Brush guards are neat-o. IMO. FWIW. K?

Go to the photo section here and check out Pics of Your Ride. Then you can see what you like. I think the Moab Pic Thread even has a lot of different kinds of brush guards, and even some trucks without them.

Don’t listen to H2 Rocks, get black, chrome is for the girls.

Yeah, what he said. I found out today that without the second bar, I don't know where the front end of the damn truck is.

Do you tie a stir stick on to your wang during sex just in case you miss the mark?

If my wang was long enough to tie it to, I would.... It's hard tieing a 3" stick to a 2" dick.

On the bright side, I'd have 5 combined inches.
;P

I personally like the stock double tier brush guard. They are a bit more work to clean the grill and headlight area with it in place. Only you can make that call if having the brush guard look is worth the extra cleaning time.

Be careful from who you order. I just ordered a black double tier knock off $299 and the supports that connect to the upper part don't match up and I had to trim a bit of plastic of my lower grill to fit. But it is worth the little work for the new look, much better and a meaner look

Hell, they all look good. Whatever I finally decide, I will probably go with Real Wheels for the Guard according to the general consensus. Whoooaaa....I must admit, I do like the smell of chrome though Decisions, Decisions.
