Hi I just bought the mother of all SUVs and am loving it…
Just curious is this thing expensive to maintain ?? for example ….

1. Tires how much do they cost? (I am sure they last forever but are they expensive?)
2. Oil Filter
3. Air Filter
4. Fuel filter
and other common part that are serviced as a regular maintenance….

1. Tires run the gammot, depending on the type of tire you go with. The OEM tires are BFG A/Ts and I've seen prices run from $185.00-$225.00 per tire. You can check http://www.tirerack.com/ for more pricing.

2. Oil Filter is the same as a Chevy Silverado, GMC Yukon, etc. I'm paying the same for filters as I did with my Yukon - $6.49 at Napa. You can even go cheaper if you go with a lesser grade product such as Napa Silver at $2.99.

3. Air Filter - $53.99

4. Fuel Filter - $12.79

Other common do-it-yourself type items such as brake pads, starter w/ solenoid, and battery, are comparable (price-wise) with newer Chevrolet 2500 HD trucks powered by the 6.0L Vortec engine.

Just dont get in a Auto Accident with it. I was hit by a Drunk Driver on Dec 11, 2002, and the Hummer is still setting in the body shop waiting on parts for it. Only the Lord knows when I will every get it back.

You've sure got mucho patience. What kind of parts are so rare the body shop can't get you back on the road?

You're right, Only the Lord knows.

54 bucks for an air filter??? Are you talking OEM replacement, or a K&N drop in?
