Under the hood (where the hood prop rod would go if I had one)I can see the fiberglass strands near the edge of the whole.I vote fiberglass.

It is a GLASS FILLED - POLY PROPALYNE. Made by
GENERAL ELECTRIC PLASTICS.

Same stuff as all the body parts of the SATURN CARS ARE MADE OFF. Only it is 36% Thicker Because of off road use and size / span.

PLASTIC is a broad term ! Technically and I don't want to bore you guys but most of whats in "FIBERGLASS" is plastic. And of course glass fibers are in everything from insulation to concrete for added strength.

You say --- PLASTIC like it is somehow cheap!

4100 pounds of steel in the Hummer H2
1460 pounds of PLASTIC and the rest is other (WIRES, Buy OUT COMPONENTS Like the radio, Insulation, Cloth, Leather etc.)

FUN FACT: even with the hood this vehicle has less plastic as a percentage then any other passenger vehicle on the market.
