~11.5k on one oil change
Well, got my 'change oil' light today. Total mileage was 14,550, right around 11.5k total on this oil change. I didn't really want to push it, but I was curious. I just got my Onstar monthly email & it looks like the notice goes on w/5% oil life left.
Cool thing: Onstar sent me a special email notice w/20% left saying 'Watch out' - it even predicted I'd need an oil change @ 14,900 miles - almost dead on!
Cool stuff, technology is neat!

Yeah! I also got the next oil change recommendation for the first time in my OnStar Vehicle Diagnostics Report.
Just had my oil changed at 6000 miles for the 2nd time. Got the report at 7,513 miles saying:
Remaining Oil Life: 89%
Next oil change recommended at 17,700 miles.
I like that, I just might have to start using that system when my maintenance plan is up.

1st oil change at 1,400 miles 2nd at 4,400 miles 3rd at 8,000 done at the dealer . 4th oil change at 12,000 miles Im now using mobile 1 and changing it myself.
My oil has 4,400 miles on it at 16,400 miles on star says 69% remaining life next change do at 26,000 miles  Thats 14,000 on oil
I will change it at 18,000
And again at 24,000
Im planing on keeping the 3 for the long haul hopefully 200,000 +

i had 7k and no light got worried and have been changing it at every 4k ever since
