black custom grill?
Hi,
Where do I find bodycolored custom grilles? Is there somewhere that they sell better ones and somewhere not so good?? I?m looking for a black non-shining Line-X look......
Black handles and mirrorcovers, is that only to buy in OEM HUMMER stores?

You can take your parts to a Line-x dealer and have them sprayed. I have my brush guard done that way and will be doing my grill and mirrors as well. The grill comes out with 4 screws. Tough as a rock!

Do you have the 2008 Graphite colormatch grill? My dealer had other colors from 2007 but none with new graphite color.

Re: black custom grill?
ATX,
I just scuffed it up with one of those abrasive pads and then washed with soap and water. I used duplicolor adhesion promotor on the wheel center caps but I cant remember if I used it on the grill or not. I put on two or three coats. Maybe I have just been lucky, but I check it weekly and not one chip so far!! If it did go to sh-t I planned to have it professionally line-Xed, but so far, so good!

Re: black custom grill?
I did my wheels with the Sherwin Williams Industrial Marine flat black but I'm going to try the Dupli Color bed liner for my grill. I like the way your's looks.

Can you buy Line-X in spraycans or is it 2 comp. paint that you have to leave to a paintshop??
Unf. we don?t have LineX dealers in Sweden.... Otherwise I?ve let them do it...
(That bedliner looks sharp too!)

Line-X is a spray-on bedliner product. You have to go to one of their shops to have it done.
You can use the Duplicolor spray-on bedliner stuff that you can pick up at an auto parts store. You just need to take more time to prep the grill as its not as durable.
