That is beautiful. 2 inch lift with 37's is just the right touch, not overdoing it, but large enough to noticeably make the H2 meaner. If my garage would let me I would definitely do this.

Thanx,

I agree. A very cool truck! One of the few modified H2's I really like.

look on ebay for the 2" lift the company that sells it is also selling the side steps. it came up on i thind the 7th page when putting hummer h2 in search engine. I really agree with zazing sets apart but not overdone and not top heavy for real offroading. The company says people with kits installed says the truck handles better than stock. I can beleive this my tj with a 4 inch lift rode much better than stock.

Alright....this IS VERY interesting and I would very much appreciate more info on this.
I have to agree that a 2" lift and 37's make for a perfect combination all around....not too high to destroy the center of gravity, but definitely a bit more clearance and obviously excellent/outstanding looks!!
I like the way my rig looks with the top racks....but if I take off the racks, I lose 3" from the top.....THUS ALLOWING it to fit in my garage if I lift it: HELLO!!!!!
Now....how is the lift going to help the ride? I can't see how it's going to ride better then stock. Most guys with lifts tell me they sacrifice handling, especially in cornering and other areas. Can anyone add some info to this?

I looked into these steps but choose not to buy them since you had to replace the factory nerf bar. I bought a new step that bolts to the factory nerf bars and no drilling was required. The look is far better than either step offered by Hummer. I will take some pictures and post them on the board.

THANKS FOR YOUR COMMENTS HUMMERMAN, I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALER THAT I PURCHASED MY H2 THAT THEY WOULD HONOR THE WARRANTY. THE DEALER WAS ACTUALLY OFFERING RANCHO LIFTS BUT THEY WERE GOING TO FARM OUT THE WORK TO A LOCAL 4WD SHOP
AND MARK UP THE PRICE 50%. I TOLD THEM I HAD I LOCAL SHOP IN SALINAS THAT COULD DO THE WORK AND I SAVED MONEY AND THE DEALER TOLD ME THEY WOULD HONOR WARRANTY. I THINK IT DEPENDS ON THE DEALER.

The kit sold on ebay for the air bag version selling at 295.00. The kit is just torsion bar keyways (cams) for the front to add 2" easily. The back is actually lifted by the factory airbags as they are designed to level the vehicle. I called VPO on wednesday and found this out.
This is the keyway.(paint it flat black and let it get dirty thus the dealer will not notice especially if you went with larger tires)
http://www.tsliftkitstore.com/produc...t.asp&ID=21395
So we can raise the airbag version for 49.00 plus shipping or 295.00. This is a tough decision.
The steps are made by N-FAB here in Houston.

The step takes the place of the factory Rocker Panel Protecton.
Black H2 Adventure Series+ all other options.

ANGELO D.
I want to "paint" my grill black. How did you do yours and what material did you use? I did not want to "paint" it due to stone chips, but was looking at Imron paint that is more durable.
TBARROW
Is this the only piece we need for a AIR bag model??
Thanks,
ROB

TBarrow, I have an air bag set up, so this key way will fit in the standard H2 torsion retainer?
How is the ride now? I had a 2002 GMC HD Crew 4x and raised the torsion bars just about 1" to level it out and the ride was greatly affected. The front inside wheel actually hopped when going around corners. I presume the keyway raises without changing the torque on the bar?
Thanks much for sharing....
