What liquid spray do Dealers' use under wheel wells?
Dealer uses some oily liquid stuff when they detail that leaves the surface shiney. Really cleans up the wheel wells appearance. Any idea what they use?

I've used all of the following:
Lexol Vinyl Protectant
ArmorAll (cut with about 50% water)
303 Protectant
Stoner's Trim Restore
Poor-Boys Trim Spray
And several tire dressings from the local auto parts store
You'll find more than you ever wanted to know about stuff like this here: http://www.autopia.org/index.php

A quick and easy solution is to use one of the foaming aerosol tire spray products. Just spray it on and you're done.

Re: What liquid spray do Dealers' use under wheel wells?
new H2 Owner here..... finally own my DREAM vehicle!
In my never ending quest for detail nirvana of my vehicles, I routinely use the higher grade Tire Detail products for the wheel wells. Another product, (I dont know if its a national product, Ive only seen it in Pacific NW) is a motorcycle detail all-purpose fluid called HOG SPIT. This stuff is just awesome to spray onto anything. I use it religiously inside the door jambs in those hard to keep clean areas.
Door jambs and wheel well are the small touches that make a vehicle look well taken care of.
(As also being a longtime Jeep TJ enthusiast - My second choice is to forgo any solvents whatsoever and keep it coated in a heavy layer of MUD!!!! It makes a statement unto itself.!!)

Re: What liquid spray do Dealers' use under wheel wells?
I use Eagle One all wheel and tire cleaner to get everything clean, wipe it with a brush to get it all good. It cleans the tires, rims and wheel wells. Follow it up with any armor all or any "tire shine" spray product. I wax with Zaino Brothers car wax, had a body man call me once asking me what armor was on my car because they had to strip it 3 times to get the wax gone. Google to find them, not the cheapest, but worth it.

Re: What liquid spray do Dealers' use under wheel wells?
I use Meguiars leather cleaner. People literally get into my truck and LOVE the smell. Any auto store carries it. Not sure what they use at car washes, I dont use them, they tend to use too much armor all and be quick. My guess is the smell is carpet cleaner.

I've heard of people actually using that!!! Personally, i'd have a problem with using anything intended to conduct heat so close to the engine. Ever see Pam hit the burners on a stove????? FLAMES!
