or at the front;

It's the plastic trim piece just in front of the black plastic grille with the holes in it. But I did have to trim some of the hole area to allow the hood to open smoothly, but wanted it well out of way when the winch was off, as I often hit the bumper at the front on rocks and stuff. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>Would that be between the VALANCE and the LOWER GRILL?

Imagine, a topic on winches and your truck shows up twice.

thanks for the info...I went with mounthing in between the valance and the plastic grill. Its sort of an eye sore mounted there, but I truly wanted it to be a easy hookup, no lifting the hood, just snap in and be ready. Info for people who install one of this later. When the winch is in place you cant see the quick connect, its hidden behind the winch. If any questions regarding the wiring hookup feel free to ask away for I just wasted a few hours doing it.

Otherwise you could move the the lead anywhere you wanted.
