Tonight when I was driving home from work, I noticed that as I slowed the vehicle down to 1,000 rpms there would be a strong shaking or rattling noise coming from the engine. At all other RPM ranges it was fine, sounded very normal even as I traveled at 90 mph, the engine did not sound as rough. Even when I was at a complete stop, and the tach read 500 rpms the engine was extremely smooth. Does anyone have an Idea what could be causing the problem. I have my first service scheduled at the dealership for 12/3.

I would check your tensioner pulleys. I had mine go out, but it actually sounded like an exhaust leak at a certian RPM.

Good luck!

Call the dealership first thing in the AM and ask them if they want to come and pick it up or bring it in right away.
