Default Road Rhino Bumper, Rubber Duck Brush Guard, E&G Wide Flairs

Made a little progress on my seemingly never ending project. Got the adapter plates for the Rubber Duck Tree Hugger Brush Guard welded to the Road Rhino (Road Armor Knock Off DIY Kit) bumper. Had to cut off the ends of the brush guard to clear the E&G wide fender flairs. Looks pretty mean w/ that bitch mounted up

White line indicates how much material needs to be removed to clear the E&G flairs.

Should of just ordered it bare steel...

Did a straight cut, but need to angle cut the back side for an appropriate gap. Its not actually touching in that pic.

I dig it. I've been curious how this combo would look. Looks mean as hell.

Adapter plate that was made to work w/ the bumper

I was going to put that Rigid 20" light bar under the winch where that damn logo is, but it looks alot better above the bumper.

I'm **** canning that logo...

Small light hole will be filled, larger curcular will be shrunk down and square. Light bar will be centered in that opening- Mounted to the hunge so it flips w/ the hood.

bumper corners will be extended out to protect the flairs...

Rear Bumper will have matching style corner guards.

About 30 other mods going on I'll get into later...

Bumper and brush guard was provisioned for a 2" body lift...Just havn't made a final decision if I want to add more height to the truck yet.

Did they sell you those bumpers without being fully welded? Great work by the way, but not sure how you are going to adapt the front bumper to work with a 2" body lift???

(unless you cut the frame and raise it up 2" in the front)

The Official "Elcova" H2 Body Lift thread (for those who say it can't be done).

I believe you can choose to weld the bumpers yourself for a slightly discounted price. As I want to add a 2" body lift that should make it easier to get things looking sharp.

Front and rears pre bent in about 30 pieces was $700 carry out in chicago. I have changed a number of things on the kit- whats pictured is about 85% of what you get.

Bumpers would stay in the existing spot. Winch and brush guard are both custom mounted to the frame also. I didn't want to have anything pulling on the bumper itself. I have a filler that would just get welded on top of the bumper. You'd never be able to tell its a filler panel after the welds were ground down and painted. Brush guard would get holes drilled equal height of the body lift to raise that also.

No not done yet. I got the 5.13 gears in the rear, working on the front right now. Waiting for my custom chromemoly steering setup I had made to showup....(everything between the hubs the steering box is chromemoly). Was trying to come up w/ rear corner guards brace. Finally settled on whats pictured below. I'm anal about stuff tying w/ w/ other things. The cut outs in that brack match the tubing radius. There will be a top tube also. I've been working on this truck for 15 months now...

been going back and forth w/ Amp Research (the guys that make the power steps). I bought an extra side step and was going to mount it off the rear bumper. The rear hitch combined w/ the distance the steps opens out was preventing me from tucking it up behind the bumper. Finally got a hold of a guy at Amp that actually knows all the various kits, how they open, mount, extend, etc... and got a bracket that completely will tuck up and behind the bumper. It has dual motors- one drops the other extends. So I'm sending back the parts I have now in exchange for this new setup.

I have a 12 gallon air tank mounted up behind the bumper, a 50' enclosed/sealed airhose reel.

Rear end diff is out, had issues w/ the stock carrier. It was machined incorrectly from Eaton and GM didn't track what vehicles got the carrier. Eaton said to send it to them, they machined the face the gear sits on and shipped it back at no cost. Couldn't believe they backed that up. Pretty ****ing unbelievable support as far as I'm concerned.

I had a complete chromoly steering setup made. Everything between the hubs all custom. They didn't cut the idler and pitman splines correctly and somehow lost my centerlink. So they had to remake all that **** again, powercoat it and its supposed to be here tuesday.

I've been trying to get this carbon fiber hood vent from this jack ass in florida since february. Finally found someone local there to go get it from the guy.

I used to hear about builds taking years to get done thinking it just being lazy...There is jus so much crap that depends on this or that, I can't do this untill something else is done, etc... but progress is being made.

Wow... Sounds like your redoing everything, also sounds real expensive! The truck looks great thus far. When your done with all this its going to be one bad mother. I'm impressed.

I've been planing things for my truck in reverse order... Like bigger gears, upgrading the steering and the brakes. Maybe if I start under the truck and work my way out my wife won't notice all the money going into the truck until I through the lift and tires on... Unlikely, but we shall see.
