Thanks to Everyone! Finally got my H3 ! (no pics yet)
Thanks to everyone for their advice , especially Mike E for the GMID. Today was fantastic. I picked up a 2007 H3, black on black, body color grill, lux with off road suspension, trailering and sunroof. (It unfortunately does have the chrome package (only mirrors and handles) but I think it still looks good)
After reading multiple posts, I knew going in that the best offer would probably be the Gmid minus approx. $1000 as a rebate. However; the salesman erroneously mentioned the full 1750 in addition to the GMID. He tried to then correct it, but after I suggested we would leave, he got the general manager to cut the original price (so in effect the full 1750 was deducted). SO LUCKY, and VERY HAPPY. They Kept stressing a request for a good survey review (You can bet they will be getting a great one)
I would Highly recommend Woodfield hummer of Schaumburg, IL, one of the most pleasant car shopping experiences that I have ever had.
(Tried Schepel (NW indiana) , didn't have what I was looking for but nice people and also tried Rizza hummer (Tinley park) but not a great selection.
Pics soon to come! (I expect a few welcome flames for having some chrome)
I still do need some advice though, following the advice of the more seasoned posters (especially RYD) I avoided the "evil" pitch of the dealer add ons.
Especially interested in remote starter/pager and pioneer avic z1 w/ back up camera. He was trying to cut a deal and include all the typical useless paint protection, rust proofing, and the like. However; he was an extremely nice guy. He strongly suggested that by going to an aftermarket customizer as opposed to the dealer that if the wiring or other parts were damaged, I would have little recourse. I'm really concerned about damaging my new baby, is it worth paying a little extra for the warranty from the dealer?

If the censors see this your bannedfor 2 weeks instead of 1...
bty - thank you
regarding your question about the warrenty, sometimes you have to bend and as long as the dealers price is reasonable compared to an aftermarket installer then yes I myself would go with the dealer...
Congrats & good luck !
