Looking for ideas
So im kinda new here but Ive been poking around for a while looking for ideas and such for my 03 duce.. The biggest thing I cant stand is inop stuff like the radio controlls in the back seat area due to my super sweet Kenwood, so I'm looking for Ideas that will replace that equipment with something cool. I thought of a small tv screen but I have 1 in the dash and 2 in the headrest and I dont want an over abundance of tv's in my truck..

Re: Looking for ideas
I was going to throw a Power inverter in there, but once my stereo guy got the console apart we found that there is very little room in there, even if you remove the Bose amp. Couldn't even get a smaller inverter in there without it looking like sh**, plus you do not want to take away any more leg room in the middle. Whatever you do, open your consoel and pull out the box and see what is going on under there, might change your mind on some things. The screen is probably one of the only decent solutions as it is thin enough to serve as a separate face to that stereo setup.

Re: Looking for ideas
I was thinking abouy the inverter idea but in a slightly different take. What about a 110 plug coming out of the inverter and into a 110 plug in that spot? I can locate the inverter inder the back seat, run a switch to the driver area and run the cord to the 110 plug, paint it all black so it matches and then my wife can plug in the laptop or what ever..

Re: Looking for ideas
I have (2) 110 plugs and a game plate in that tiny space. I also have an inverter under my center console. Anything can be done you just need the right parts and the right installer. I will take pics and email or text you the pics if you like. I don't know how to load them on this site.

Re: Looking for ideas
There is a good amount of room under that center console. Personally if feel a little safer mounting it under the second row seats. A lot of room there, just look at all the amps people are jamming under there. Plenty of room for air circulation.
