H2O Racks & Bumpers
Does anyone have first hand experience with these products? I'm wondering if the quality is comparable to Gobi?

You can't walk on the H2O Racks but legend has it that there has been at least 6 people on a GOBI at 1 time!

Re: H2O Racks & Bumpers
That is tough. I love my Gobi rack. It is extremely functional. However, I wouldn't give up my h2o accessories for anything. The ladders are the only thing I have from both companies and h2o does make a stronger product that is static mounted and provides good corner protection. I also like that you can climb up while the tailgate is open.

Re: H2O Racks & Bumpers
In the pictures on the H2O site as well as above the top rear corner lights are missing. Is that required to use the corner ladder and rack combo? Thanks for the opinions guys.... does anyone have a picture of the tire mount? I cant find one on the H2O website?

Re: H2O Racks & Bumpers
IMO walking on the rack is key. It makes loading and unloading stuff up there so easy. I like the expanded metal mesh on the gobi's as well b/c I use rubber bungee's and they slide on metal tubes. The mesh makes it really easy to attach stuff even at odd angles, etc. You can always get the bungee to the perfect tension w/ so many hooking possibilities.

You don't have to take them off. But Neil recommends it as he smashed at least one during an install and they're some $70 or so to replace.
I'm pretty sure Neil can send you some plates to bolt into a number of spots to make walking and sitting a little easier.

Re: H2O Racks & Bumpers
I"m with Alan about preferring expanded metal to walk on. But there is NO doubt that Neil makes a good rack too.
Everything else on my rig is H2O stuff and I love it.

It was the first place I had a parking spot, a camera, and dry weather after it had been installed.
It snowed and rained on us (me and Alan) all the way home from Neil's and all the way to Moab the next day.
