After reading the postings on oil changes etc, just thought I'd throw this at you. Whether you change your oil yourself or have it done for you, drop by your local parts store and pick up a magnetic drain plug for your oil pan.

It's cheap and while you find it won't attract horseshoes you will find small metal shavings over a few changes, regradless of the oil filter you run.

Come to think of it is always a good idea to have an extra drain plug around unless you want the neighbors kids to hear all those words their parents tell them not to say when you strip yours!

I did an oil change recently and the H2 already comes with a magnetic oil drain plug. All GM's other vehicles should come with one standard though.
