Default engine immoblizer

Today went for a haircut and got into my H3, put the key in and the truck would turn over but would not start. After contacting Onstar, I was told it was security issue. I finally got it to start by pressing lock and unlock on my remote. I was wondering if maybe someone tried to break in to it and the engine immobilzed. This has never happened before. Has this happened to anyone and why?

What year is it? Older models have a habit of the passlock going out. Do a search on the Hummer forums for "passlock." It is a piece in the key/iginition switch that wears out.

Mine did this last thursday when I got in my truck to leave work. Truck turned over but wouldnt fire like it wasnt getting fuel. I switched the headlight relay with the fuel pump relay and it started right up. I think the relay was going bad but it had also cut out on me a few weeks before but cranked right back up. Maybe a different problem, but you might want to check your relays as well
