I am looking to use a sunvisor screen on the passenger side but do not want it on the driver side as I think the cops would view that as a "blatent" violation (if a cop comes up behind you, its so high that you can see it thru the back window.
So, with that being said, my thoughts are to:
1) go with an in dash unit that has a pop out screen such as the Panasonic 9200, Alpine 1003, Kenwood KVT-911 or M700, or the Clarion unit. I want something that has a modern GUI as well.
2) use another screen mounted in the dash with a control unit (but I think you run out of space doing this)
any suggestions?

Pretty nice set up in the H2 with the red dash. Can you display a map with GPS location? It seems like a nav system with GPS should be a standard option on the H2. Maybe next year...

Not my Hummer, we all dig out what we found and share the experience, what is available or possible, or what NOT to do. But I do recall some member did the On*Star location setup or was there a photo of his setup? I know PhilD put a LCD in dash which seems like the most professional setup, instead of a clutter of big and small LCDs on or around the dash. Maybe you have to dig into the TECH past, there are lots of neat stuffs in the old posts.

Someone may have already mentioned this, but, what are the dimensions of the factory speaker openings?(i.e. what size speakers can be used to replace the factory ones?)
Thanks in advance

Here's a link to the H2 that we just finished for Panasonic for the CES show 3 weeks ago. The whole project took 4.5 weeks.
What do you all think?

Johnathan-
I really like it. The 10" screen center dash console that West Coast Customs did that MAC posted the pic of in this post is something I would be interested in doing however, I am also interested in running a McIntosh MX406 Control Center and McIntosh MPM4000 Meter Module underneath it (replacing the current stock head unit and moving the AC controls down to the ONSTAR location). I was wondering how hard it would be to refab (or build) the center console moving the air vents up higher to accomodate both the screen and two McIntosh units aong with the AC Controls while still making the AC Controls easy to get to. I was thinking of moving the ONSTAR system over to the Driver's Side as mentioned by OLE YLLR. I appreciate your advice on this.
Thanks.

Another quality installation can be found here:
http://www.jrscustomauto.com/home.html
Just go to their Mobile Entertainment Section and select Gallery. You will then be able to click on the H2. They did some really good work.

JR's custom has a sweet setup, and I wish they were closer to me. I'm looking for the least amount of wasted space, and their design looks like it wouldn't get in the way at all.

I used to live 10 miles from JR's custom in Dallas TX. I live in San Diego now, and there are NO good custom shops around here. Looks like I'll have to hit up LA. Good luck on your AV Setup, let us know what you get!
