Twice now, after I started my H2 I had no audio from my radio or on-star, all other functionalities of the raidio worked. I had to shut off the engine, wait about 5 minutes and then it was ok. My dealeer did inform me there is a tech bulliten to replace some amps. I have not had any problems for a while so I have not had the amp replaced yet. Just wondering if anyone else had any problems.

Doug,
So far we had no problem with the audio ,as you described.
I would have it checked ,and let us all know how you made out.
Thanks for the tip.

People experiencing problems with radio, speaker rattle and noise from speakers…
Radio unit needs to be replaced. It is factory flow and needs replacement.
However, chances are high you will get the same, bad, batch.

I have had the same problem. I just shut the engine off and lock and unlock the doors with the remote and it seems to fix the problem.

Yup. Had same problem today. No audio when starting up. No warning signs. Just wouldn't give even a whisper, neither did Ms. On*Star.
When I went for next ride the audio worked normally again.
Read all posted advises and Tech Bulletins (by searching "audio").
Sent the dealer (Scotssdale Arizona, AZHummer) an e-mail, suggesting to send a new amplifier to Aruba for the GMC dealer here to replace. Will post outcome. JCJ

Finaly got a reply from the dealership, where my Hummer was bought (Scottsdale Arizona) on the no-audio problem and my request to send a replacement Bose amp to Aruba.
Now the dealer asks me to take a picture of my odometer and the parts to be replaced!
Would this be a usual line of action?
I thought a warranty issue would not cost the dealer a penny...

If there is a GMC dealer there where you are, I wouldn't expect a problem. Is it possible to work through your local GMC dealer and have them contact Scottsdale dealer? In any case, they seem to be trying to guard against a scam.

Nah. The local GMC dealer is even slower with their service.
They are still waiting for the software upgrade to be able to scan and tune the Hummer.
Thanks to Hummer 4X4 (Klaus) I could resolve one of the minor problems I had: I programmed the remote key fob myself.
I'll just do what the Arizona dealer asks and sit this one out.
I can only consider to call the Hummer service line or threaten with this.
A risk I took when I ordered and bought the Hummer overseas.
Thanks. JCJ

Hummer/GM is working on a fix for the no audio problem. The Bose amp under the center console is causing this problem. They are developing a software upgrade for the amp.

After five months, I just had the disappearing audio problem. Shutting down and restarting numerous times did not help. The next day it was fine. Have also had problems with Bose speakers popping, crackling, distorting. Goes away after a few minutes.

I had the same problems with Bose speakers in another vehicle I owned years ago.
