Default Seriously...wtf???

Remember a few weeks ago I posted about a line coming off my trans and dumping tranny fluid everywhere in the middle of nowhere?

And then after I managed to fix it on the side of the road, I only got to drive it an hour before I lost 3-4th gear.

Soooo, it took me 24 hours driving straight from Tampa to Palm Beach to Charlotte at 60 mph in 2nd gear.

When I got back, I had the tranny rebuilt.

They had to take it out 3 different times to get it right (turns out a bad servo or solenoid in the pump)

So everything is cool, right? Saturday I drive the truck to my inlaws 3 hours from here to borrow their enclosed trailer. I make it back about an hour and smoke JUST POURS OUT EVERYWHERE... aahhhh, wtf?

I pull over and the tranny line to the radiator got a split in it.

Fortunately, I had my life saving leatherman and was able to cut the hose back by 4" and reinstall it.

Today, I'm installing something MUCH MORE SECURE!!

This sucks.

NJ H2 has a little shameless behaviour in the past

WoW .. that sucks! Sorry to hear this happened to your Rig but atleast it sounds like you cought it in time! I installed the Tru-Cool external Tranny Cooler for this exact reason. Tooo many H2's were blowing the Transmission line and spitting Trany fluid into the Radiator and Water into the Transmission to the tune of a $4000.00 repair bill!!!
I paid $150.00 for the Tru-Cool MAX transmission cooler about 6 months ago and re routed the Transmission lines out of the Radiator. IMO it's the best $150.00 I spent on my Rig.

Here is a good thread to read regarding this problem:

Hi if it wasn't for bad luck you would have no luck at all. Glad you were able to fix it and make it home.

"If it wasn't for bad luck, you'd have no luck at all" X2. Crush, are you wishing you still had your old H2??? Times like these test our true love and devotion to our rigs. If it was me (I'm always guilty of overkill) I'd probably be putting on those steel braided lines they use on pro stock drag car trannies. We all know the cooler in the radiator is the weak link on the H2 but I never even thought about the lines.
