WELL with the price of gas going up and up I was wondering if anyone has installed the NON-Factory locking Gas Filler Doors like the ones Jason sells?
If you have can you please tell me the procedure and if you had any problems. Was it an easy install, what should I watch out for. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and some days I'm great and other days my hands, arms and shoulders don't work.
Thanks in advance...

I've had one of the black Realwheels locking doors since I first got my H3. It's a really easy install, with (I think) 2 self-tapping screws and 3M tape along the top edge of the ring. Took me all of 10 minutes.
Over the months its held up perfectly and I don't have any complaints.
I’m far more concerned about someone putting something into the tank as opposed to someone taking fuel out since I believe there is a built-in anti-siphoning device anyway.

I have the same RW chrome locking cap that DarthKarl has and I agree with his observations. Very easy to install and it has held up well for 8 months so far. I know it's easier to install than the OEM cap/door.

I bought one off of eBay and it installed in about 15 minutes - @10 minutes to install after the initial five minutes being for the drying of the 3M primer. I also prepped the application area with alcohol prior to applying the primer. It was very easy, looks great, and is a very durable product. I can let you know who I bought it from as I think he sells them regularly.

Exactly why I am planning on getting a locking one. Haven't had any hatred issues yet but I don't want to give someone the chance to do engine damage because they are a jealous idiot.
I am pretty sure that every GM vehicle produced in the past 4 years, maybe more, has an anti-siphoning device.

you can get the OEM one but only comes in chrome, you can PC it like what I did, paid $35. You can probably get a better deal.

Thank you all for the positive replys...
Think I'l order the black locking with 3 lines from Jason today or tomorrow. If it took you all 15-20 minutes then I should have it done in less then 40.

Re: LOCKING GAS CAP
I went with the locking door, and it took about 15 min. It is very easy and comes with 2 self tapping screws. I wanted to have a locking tank, mainly so haters couldnt mess with my rig.

Re: LOCKING GAS CAP
DefenderWorx makes a locking gas cap. I just put it and the matching trim ring on this morning. If you just installed the gas cap, the only tools you would need would be a pair of scissors to cut the leash on the original gas cap.
Unfortunately, they only make it in chrome but you could always hide it behind a black filler door. Wouldn't that give an eco-freak a nice surprise? Working to pop off the locked filler door only to find a locked gas cap waiting inside.
