Yes I did the search and read the posts. It seems it is the case on the wiper motor, yes? All the TSB's were for 03's only. Ours is an 04'and the symptoms are identical to those I read about from other folks.
What I am hoping I can get some advice on is how to get the dealer to actually address this issue. It has not happened again but stayed screwed up for 1 1/2 days.
The only thing that might have contributed to this condition was backing into the driveway. My driveway has an uphill slope to it. With the truck facing downhill in the rain an abnormal amount of water could find its way down the vents above the wiper motor. Normally I would pull in forward. Coincidence? probably. Any other ideas or opinions would be appreciated. Thanks

Did this happen to you:<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content"> Here we are, in the worst storm we've seen in a while in Nor Cal, and my wipers have gone completely haywire! At least it kept the cyclists (and their middle fingers)inside. It started yesterday when we got in and started the engine-the washer motor ran, & ran, & ran. I yanked the fuse to get that to stop, but then the front and rear wipers just started randomly turning on and off. 2 more fuses yanked, no problem! My question is this: Is this a common problem? Is there a wiper 'brain' that fries? Obviously, I'm out of warranty... </div></BLOCKQUOTE>Go with the wiper module.

That about sums it up minus the rear wiper. Thanks.
