Default Power Sideview Mirror Failure

Greetings all,

I went to adjust my power sideview mirrors today and neither are working. Is there a fuse somewhere or should I assume a wiring harness has loosened somewhere?

If the fuse, anyone know which one it is? If the harness, is it accessible only by the dealer or can I get to it to check it?

Thanks.

Is this your first car?

Just kidding I've been there too. I remember once upon a time I didn't know anything about automobiles. Then I a saw this sexy lady stranded on a lonely road waiving at me in distress...ahem ok, ok wrong forum...next time i'll finish the story.

open the hood...
On the right, close to the battery you will find the fusebox. Pressing the tabs pull up the cover. Take a look at the cover. If memory serves me well (it often doesn't) you can see on the inside of the cover the fuse number and the description of the fuses. (windows, lights AC..etc...) Pull the fuse out that says something about power mirrors or something similar.

You can see if the the fuse is shot. If it is shot...run for your life it could explode. No just stay there and replace with a spare. The spares are located in the same fuse box.

Thanks for the response - I think.

Knowing a little bit about vehicles, I have never seen a power window fuse. But then again, most of my vehicles have been older.... so....

I followed your instructions and found no such fuse nor listing. Could it be lumped under one of the accessory fuses, etc.?

Any suggestions?

Don't they supply owners manuals with those new-fangled H3's?

might wanna check out

#10 Accesories (SPO)
#68 and #63 power windows

might not be either. there is no separate fuse for the mirrors. if you got time on your hands, go through all of them its only about 70 or so.

Or you can pop out the module and see if the wires are seated properly and or in the right position, sometimes they get crossed
