Horrible Local Accident in H2
Trying to find out if the people involoved that were in the H2 were friends of the forum. Horrible.
Police are trying to track down the driver of a pickup truck involved in an accident that killed three women and sent another woman and a child to the hospital early Thursday morning.
"A little after one o'clock we had a hit-and-run accident where a pickup truck collided with a Humvee," said SAPD Captain James Flavin. "The Humvee spun and went over the railing of a bridge and plunged down the embankment about 30 ft or so."

The accident happened on Interstate 10 and Probandt. Five females were inside the sports utility vehicle that went into the San Antonio River. When emergency crews arrived, the Hummer was completely engulfed in flames.
A woman and a child who is about 2 years old were rescued, but the other three women died. One of those women was trapped inside the burning vehicle, according to investigators.
The rescued woman was taken to Wilford Hall Medical Center in critical condition.
And the child was airlifted to University Hospital in critical condition as well.
None of the adult victims' ages were immediately available.
"We think we have the vehicle involved in it," Captain Flavin said about an abandoned black Ford F-150 with front-end damage. The truck was found less than a half mile from the triple fatality in the 100 block of Carle.
Investigators plan to track down the owner of the truck to see who was behind the wheel around the time of the accident.
Police say, right now, it looks like the suspect will face charges of failing to stop and render aid.

Re: Horrible Local Accident in H2
I've had fawkbillies play flinch by swerving their pickup into my oncoming lane to try and freak me out. I never budge.
I hope this wasn't the case.

I just heard about it this morning while waiting for my truck to be serviced at Ken Batchelor. According to the folks there, it was an H3 that got hit, but it looked like an H2 on the video to me. It's absolutely amazing that anyone survived that....you think a Prius would have fared as well?

Re: Horrible Local Accident in H2
Wow! That is dispicable...what a coward! San Antonio shouldn't waste a cent on this person, just shoot and ask questions later. The F150 must have hit an H3, there is no way he'd be driving another half mile after hitting an H2. Hitting the back of the H2 is like hitting a brick wall. I really hope they hang this prick!

Not that it matters, but by looking at the rear passenger door, it's an H2 (no notch out for the rear wheel and no separate bar for the window slider). I've not seen too many people that have opted not to have the spare on the rear door on an H3 either. I too hope they catch the guy.
It was most likely the woman's reaction to being tagged than the physics involved. My question is what started the fire?

Re: Horrible Local Accident in H2
i agree that manslaughter or murder should be the charge, not failure to render assistance.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the survivors and the families of the deceased.
