I must confess... I know nothing about engines...

Lately, my engine is acting up. RPM goes nuts around 1500RPM. The RPM meter goes up and down and of course the engine goes nuts as well. It seems to happen around 40-55 mph which is what I normally do on local roads.

Does this mean that I have a transmission problem? Perhaps
Please help out a mechanically challenged person...

thanks in advance.

Not my area of expertise, but it sounds like your transmission maybe slipping (or shifting), but hard to guess. It could be a fuel/air problem too, or any number of other things.

Watch the rpm when pulling away, does it go higher than usual? Look at the tranny temp, see how hot it is getting and pull the tranny dipstick, it should be clear and red, if it is cloudy or brown the ATF is burnt.

If you are still under warranty, take it in. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>I'm pretty sure your flux capacitor needs a minor adjustment , that should regulate the flatulance meter to an acceptable level. If that doesn't help, ask your local rep to check for decreasing levels of ovulation in the decrapitator tank. Trust me, I'm a professional!
