On-star is built into the car....that way, someone couldn't just disable it, before stealing. They put the module somewhere, in the roof area....

OnStar is not available in the Hummer H1.

It was demoed in the H1 Alpha Concept, which had OnStar and a Vortec 8100 engine. It never made it into production.

OnStar was not present in any of the 18 2004 H1's that I either drove or saw in April during the Phoenix Hummer Conquest event.
