Here's my new black grill to give you folks an idea how it looks with bullet stainless steel behind it....grill is satin black....I did not try to make the HUMMER visible figured if someone didn't know it was a Hummer they probably could not read anyway! Skid plate is low maintenance, coated with Line-x......

Mister Ed, it looks great!I'm still waiting on painting my grille, but I think I'm going to paint the Hummer letters orange. I really like the idea of the blacked out H2 badges, I think I may steal your idea

I apologize for not including that info........

Bullet grill came from EBay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33645&item=2424436 619

Then a friend in the auto body business took the chrome off an extra grill I had, then sprayed and baked it for me.....

PhilD........

Line-x is pretty tough. I've used it in the past and for my offroading it will do fine.....In my opinion (and we all know what that is worth!!) it's a better product than any of the other liners...... Seems like I read somewhere that the Pentagon is now using a Line-x coating on concrete block to help hold it together in the event of an explosion........

The black on pewter is personal and I still have a chrome grill to put back on just in case I get tired of this look!!

When I get my lights on the front, the appearance with the black will change again.......stay tuned!

Cheers

MisterEd

Very Nice - I think a black grille on my white beast (with white letters) would look fantastic - I have seen on the forum a white hummer with a white grille that looks great - but not my taste for my white and black beast - excellent job

MisterEd:

Black looks good on the pewter. Nice to see more people customizing and adding a bit of their own taste and personality!
