Yes.. make sure someone video tapes it. You will want to remember those 7 seconds while it's still intact.

I can speak from experience. Brick buildings aren't forgiving.

Agreed, get all the cool close up pictures of your craft before you fly it the first time! It'll never look the same, even after the repairs!

Good luck! You'd be better off training on a high-wing craft before you wreck the A-10. There are some good trainers out there for about $100 bucks. The ducted fans are great, but they're definitely fast.... pics please..

ive flown some of those two channel high wing ones and had it pretty down, only thing that made me crash that was a rediculous gust of wind, which i would not go flying this thing on a windy day, i have a pretty good understanding of how planes handle from flying real planes for over two years, and even though this is a ducted fan one, it was recommended for begginers so i figured id give it a shot hte price was unbeatable also, and id defintly take it real easy before id try anything crazy with this, as soon as i get it ill post somepics up, but here is a pic from the site....

You'll probably be alright then. Does that one have aileron control also? Where did you buy it from and how much? I used to fly planes, but that was years ago when gas ones were more prevalent.... I've got myself a couple electric helis that I'm learning on but was thinking about getting back into planes....

i bought that from www.nitroplanes.com they have a pretty good selection of stuff, also i saw a site www.bananahobby.com that looks like it has a pretty good selection also. That does have aileron control, it was on sale to $95 and its RTF (ready toi fly) and thats good for me since im not much of a handy person. There are still a tone of gas ones, but i didnt want to make it complicated on myself for the first one so i went electric.

I use to fly all sorts of R/C, jets, props and heli's. Then burnt out getting ready for one contest too many. I decided to sell almost everything off when our first baby was on the way.

Now that the kids are older, I've gotten back into it a little with the electrics since we can fly those close to home.

Funny thing is, the local hobby shop has a couple of teenagers working there that love to talk down to customers. I never say anything back, since I really don't give a damn what they think, but for cripes sake, I was part of the world championship team.

Sadly Mdoyle,
even if you did say something they wouldnt give a sh*t anyways. And after you left they would talk smack about you too. Alot of todays teens are disrespectful, lazy punks that think the world owes them. They give 40% and expect 110% pay.
Theres some good ones out there too dont get me wrong, but you run into a lot of the others.
(sorry didnt mean to highjack thread, dealt with a smart mouth today and made my blood boil)

Sadly you're spot-on, the younger generation was born into and raised up with "don't hurt their self esteem" parents.

When I grew up, people got their ass kicked for not giving respect, the world was your oyster, but you had to work to get it.

This group was born owning the fuking oyster.

The real test will be when they have kids, and their kids identify with the grandparents ethics, morals, and values. It'll blow them away.

I agree, I was raised by my grandparents and I grew up with a health respect for the belt. Even now I still address my elders with yes ma'am and yesir. I still open doors for a lady and give up my chair for a woman or elder gentleman when there are no other chairs available.
I have worked very hard to instill this into my children and am very proud when I have an adult tell me how mannerly my kids are. Its a stuggle sometimes because they live with my ex and her husband, but I am thankful that he also wants them to be respectful.
Unfortunately this seems to be a dying way of life and it frustrates me to see young children mouthing off or even cursing at their parent and the parent does NOTHING!! Why do you think we have such issues with punks with no respect for law enforcement, the government or teachers and other adults not to mention each other?
Ok...time to get off my soapbox....geez I had too many espressos today.

Aw dude man, he was probably having a senior moment.

You could of had a lot of fun with that.

There's a big difference between giving genuine respect and being disrespectful.

People can fuk around and still be respectful.

Like on this forum, we -- the majority of younger adults -- give RYD a hard time, but it's all just the best intention of banter, you know, cause he's in his golden years. But he doesn't take the crap the wrong way either, because it's just a forum. If by chance I met RYD someday, well, it'd be my privilege to break some bread or have a beer with him, and yes, it'd be on my dime out of respect for his age.

Those things are kind of implied. This younger generation, how can I say it? Oh yeah, "they aint got a clue" yet.
